US District judge Ann Donenelly has denied RnB singer R Kelly bail for the second time.
The singer’s defence team filed a second motion seeking for him to be released after inmates of Metropolitan Correctional Center tested positive for Covid19.
Kelly’s lawyer pleaded that if he’s freed he could not flee because he would be too recognisable on the streets of Chicago especially amid lockdown.
The 53 years old faces several counts of state and federal charges in Illinois, Minnesota and New York from sexual assault to hold a racketeering scheme aimed at supplying him with girls.
R Kelly pleaded not guilty to all counts.
